Back in December

This happened during a classy evening where a bunch of us were sitting around and just generally having a good time when I decided to grab my camera and just screwing around with it. Sam looked at me pointed and just beautiful things happen.

This was one morning where I was hanging around after finals and just chilling in my house, I was laying out with my kitten on my bed watching a movie and then she fell asleep so i decided to try and get another shot of her sleeping and this is what I came up with before she woke up and looked like this...
She looked sleepy and all but happy. Enjoy

Purgatory

Walking through Purgatory Chasm you begin thinking of both the light and dark and how they can mesh together to make something beautiful and amazing. I wanted to look at things both alive and dead and how they can mesh to make a beautiful portrait of nature. The first is of a fallen tree surrounded by living pines.

The next is of moss and a white birches routes melding together to live in unison and coexist. Its interesting to think how to organisms can live off of one another in such harmony and make a beautiful sight.

Next we we have a acorn in a rotting tree trunk rebirth and death all in a beautiful frame.

Lastly we have a roots growing up through one of the cracks in the purgatory chasm walls. Its such a sight seeing the mixture of life of roots and the cold and unlivingness of stone that makes one realize even the most different of things can live in symbioses.

I hope you enjoy them all.

Multiple Suns

This was a long exposure looking towards Worcester most of the light is probably light pollution but its still a beautiful sight to see. During a random Wednesday night in which i was originally looking to take pictures of the moon this came to me on my way back and I decided that this was going to be one for the night. This is also the last photo I took before having a lovely conversation with the security of the Holden Reservoir, and the Holden Police. I though it was a very interesting sight to see the two lights looking light suns setting reminded me of Star Wars with Luke looking out over the twin setting suns but thats just the geek in me. I hope you all enjoy.

Some beautiful music.

One of my favorite bands is Incubus, and their guitarist Mike Einzinger,  is also a music student at Harvard University. He has composed his first full scale orchestra piece entitled, "End.>Vacuum"  It was fairly difficult to track down but it is beautiful to listen to, sadly there is no better repesentation of it anywhere because it was a one night live show in California. It has a total of nine parts that really tell a story with just the music itself.

Water falling

When I took this picture i thought that the waterfall I was at would be flowing a bit heavier, but it was very calm which proved to be advantageous. I got to get really close to some of the smaller water falls and little ponds than usual and allowed me to see the little details in the pond like this one. Enjoy.

Bottle

Sitting in the Academic commons every night you end up seeing many patterns of people, and other strange events. When I looked up from doing work one day I saw this image past a girl I was photographing throughout the night. The water bottle so strong in where it was, and being almost framed by the laptop and converse. It looked like it could almost be a ad for Poland Spring. I don't know why this interested me so much but every time I look at it I have a different emotion that I get from it. I hope you all enjoy it.

Kitten

Sitting in my room while getting ready for a night out and I see my kitten sleeping on top of my peddlers cap and it jumps out at me. She was so still and calm, which for her is something you don't see to often. She has so much energy most of the time, to see her so docile made me really happy. I wanted to capture the look of a playful cat who is recharging but always watchful.  I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.
